Dylan Mathews grew up in a house
that was always filled with good-looking guys. However, with four protective
older brothers they never stood a chance.
Except for one.
Dylan knew she loved Ben
McKenna from the first time she laid eyes on him. When he started sneaking in
her room, she thought he felt the same way.
But just as their passion ignited, he left for college and never
came back.
Until now.
Returning home after 5 years, Ben realizes Dylan has always been
the one for him.
Can he win back her heart and finally find love under the orange
moon?
Review
What a great book! This was my first read
by this author and I will definitely be looking for more from her, that’s for
sure! Dylan & Ben’s story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It was
captivating from the very first sentence. I was sucked in and could not stop
reading. I took my Kindle with me everywhere I went until I finished. Middle of
the night feedings for the baby? Yep, reading then. Nap time for the toddler?
Reading then, too. Waiting for the bus for the oldest? Yep, reading. I could
not stop until I finished their story!
Ben was heartbreaking. His story was
handled with an appropriate amount of delicacy while still letting his rough
edges show appropriately. At times I wanted to punch him just like he punched
several others. I also wanted to hug him and hold him and tell him he could be
ok! I wanted him to know that he could love and be loved. He deserved it.
Then there is Dylan. I kinda love when
girls have boy names, so right away I liked her. Then I “met” her through this story.
While there were times I wanted to scream at her for letting Ben get away with
stuff, she really proved that she was NOT a pushover. I loved watching her
confidence grow throughout the story. I felt like we really got to know her
right away and that really helped with falling in love with her.
Bravo, Adrienne Frances! I can’t wait for
more from you in the future!
