Review
WOW. This was such an emotional read. I see bullying
a lot due to working in the school setting. This book really hit close to home
in what kids are dealing with today. Whether it is at the elementary level or a
high school level, bullying is a very real thing. For that reason, I had to
take a few breaks from this story as I read it because of the level of emotion
I felt reading it.
Right off the bat, you can feel the characters. You connect
with them and you relate to them. It was easy to read in the sense that the
story flowed naturally and effectively.
Melissa Perea has a style of writing that is original
and unique to her. The story itself is fresh and cannot be compared to other
stories out there. It is a unique story and a unique style. Very refreshing.
While the ending is an appropriate stopping point,
it is definitely a bit of a cliffhanger. This is a series, so keep that in mind
when you read. There isn’t a clear conclusion on the last page.

About the Author
I get very cranky when I am tired. If getting fat wasn't a side
effect, I would eat freshly baked cookies and milk every day for breakfast.
Currently, I have one kid, one husband and one dog. I plan to add more to the
kids and possibly the dogs, but definitely am keeping the husband to one. If
for some random reason you stumbled upon my high school yearbook you would find
a picture of me under "Class Clown". I have a college degree, but
instead of earning dollar bills with my educated mind, I spend my days playing
with my offspring. My life is super fun.
I write because I want so share my heart with you and make you think more about the world around you.
