Fate brought her here, but will her choices destroy her dreams?
Quincy Priest made all the right choices in her small town, black-and-white life. But being perfect is tiring. So. Very. Tiring.
Wanting desperately to step out of her sister's shadow, Quincy jumps at the opportunity to attend college with her best friend. The quiet bookworm with family secrets comes out of her shell. But when Quincy meets not one, but two perfect guys, she has to make a choice. In doing so, she might forfeit the relationship she secretly longed to find.
Declan. Sweet, handsome, and perfect. He makes her feel cherished for the first time in her life.
Brody. Sexy, hot, and irresistible. He could tear down her carefully built walls.
Before she can become the woman she wants to be, Quincy will make mistakes. And suffer one unimaginable loss.

Review
Where do I even start with
this story? I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it considering mental health is
the field I work in and a lot of authors really miss the mark when it comes to
these issues. Sydney Lane, however, did NOT miss the mark.
Quincy. Good gosh. My heart broke for her. I cannot imagine
living in the shadow that she did and feeling as if she had to make the
statement that she did. That is rough. And the guilt that came along with
dealing with her sister, ugh. That in itself is an emotional roller coaster.
There were so many times I wanted to just jump in the story and hug her and
hold her.
Then there are Declan and
Brody. It was really impossible to hate either one of them! They were both
amazing in their own ways. It was very interesting to see the dynamic of their
friendship as well as the dynamic they each had with Quincy.
There were so many
emotions I experienced throughout the story. I was angry at Quincy for not
standing up for herself, for not just making a choice, and for putting herself
in some really cruddy situations. I was so heartbroken for her at other times
that I just cried my eyes out because I can’t imagine going through some of
those experiences. And there was a whole lot of happy throughout the story.
There was a serious book hangover when I finished this one!
