Blog Tour and Review: Masked Innocence by Alessandra Torre

*SYNOPSIS*

The man was sinful. It wasn't just the looks that made him dangerous, it was the cocky confidence that dominated every move, every touch. And the frustrating yet ecstatic fact about the whole package was that he could back it all up…
Julia Campbell never knows what to expect with win-at-all-costs Brad De Luca. And she's starting to like it that way. She gave up safe, conventional relationships when she let the elite divorce attorney seduce her into his world. Now that he's determined to strip her naked of every inhibition, she's in danger of falling too deep and too fast.
But their affair begins to feel even more dangerous when a murder leaves a trail of suspicion that points straight to the mob…and Brad. Trusting a man with a bad reputation and a past full of secrets seems like a mistake. But when she's forced to make a choice, the consequences will take her further than she could ever have imagined.

*REVIEW*

Masked Innocence is the sequel to Blindfolded Innocence by Alessandra Torre.  (***If you haven't read Blindfolded Innocence, stop reading this and go get it.  NOW!  then come back and read my review!)  I blew through this book.  My obsession with Brad and Julia has grown even more after reading this and now I have a huge book hangover.  There will be a third book to this series, and we don't have to wait too long!

Masked picks up right where Blindfolded left off.  Brad and Julia are taking their relationship to the next level.  They are fantastic together.  Where Brad is demanding and always in control, Julia challenges him and always has a snarky comeback.  I absolutely love her.  Julia's main concern is Brad's old man whoring ways.  As much as she is addicted to him and his, um manliness, she doesn't want to seem  foolish and commit herself to someone who cannot.  Brad's solution?  He introduces her to his "lifestyle", which includes an exclusive sex club and some anonymous participants.  And that is where we get rewarded!  Wow, don't try to read this while waiting for your kid at their dance class, while you are at work, or any other public place for that matter!  You need to be at home!!!!

What I loved about Masked is that, yes, it's smoking hot and we get everything we saw coming with Brad and Julia.  But not too far in, there's that famous Alessandra twist.  She throws a wrench in there and we are left guessing.  Another favorite piece of this book is Martha.  Martha is Brad's "house manager" for the past 15 years.  She's prickly, as Julia calls her and hard to crack at first.   I loved her wise cracks and interaction with both Brad and Julia.  Turns out that she is an ally to Julia and I can see them getting into some trouble in the future.

As we move along in this book, I couldn't help but swoon over Brad.  I don't like to use the word swoon.  I feel like it's overused in most book reviews and I'm not a swoon-er.  However, here I was.  I realized I was reading full chapters with a smile on my face.  I was surprised with how sweet Brad was (But still strong and in control).  I had butterflies when  he did.  My connection was strong and they are both smashed into my heart.  I loved the ending so much.  It fit them so well.  I'm not sure I'll be able to read anything else in the next month while I wait for the End of Innocence.  It's not a cliffhanger, but there are so many things to find out.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?  This is so far out of De Luca-ville that I don't even know how to respond.  You have rendered me fucking speechless."

Hmmm, wonder what miss Julia is referring to here?  Well, you must not wait any longer and get reading!  You will not be disappointed!  Thanks Alessandra for another fabulous, unique, HOT and well written story! Smooches!!!

*EXCERPT*

Gorgeous, sexy, and feral, the closer we came to the party, the more intense Brad's eyes became. He was aroused, I realized. He had taken only one item from Carlos, a black executioner’s hood. I was both scared and excited to see what it would look like on.
We got in the car and I waited till the driver shut the door before I turned to him. “I-”
His mouth was on me before I got the second word out. He cupped my chin in his hand and took my mouth with his. He pulled hard on my neck and I leaned forward, his other hand grabbing to pull me on his lap. I straddled him, grinding against his crotch while we kissed. His hands gripped my ass and then traveled in between my legs, and he pulled away from my mouth with a sexy scowl when he felt my panties.
“What’s this?” he murmured, sliding a finger underneath my thong and dipping inside me, causing my eyes to close and my breath to hitch.
“I think they’re called panties,” I whispered, pushing against his hand, wanting more than his finger inside of me.
“You are already wet...” he breathed in wonder, sliding a second finger in with the first, stretching my pussy tight around his digits and moving them together in wonderful unison.
I groaned and ground against him, and he slowly withdrew his fingers, sliding his wet fingers over my clit and then away, and my eyes popped open, missing the pleasure. I pouted down at him.
“I want to keep you hot for the party,” he said gruffly. He looked up at me, smiling in the darkness. “You look so different.”
I tilted my head, grinning. “Good different?”
“I like the normal you better. This is good though, makes me feel like I’m with a strange woman.”
I bit my lip and looked at him deviously. “Strange woman can be bad.”
“I like bad,” he whispered, and I felt his fingers brush my sensitive skin, once again tugging at the lace of my thong.

Blog Tour, Review and Giveaway: Dirty Little Lies by Clare James

*SYNOPSIS*
Twenty-nine-year-old Stevie Sinclair has just lost everything: her boyfriend, her apartment, even her ugly bird named Free. (Yeah, she knows it’s stupid name, so don’t start.) But most importantly, Stevie’s lost herself.
As she shuffles through her days in worn-out Hello Kitty PJs—eating ice cream, sipping wine, and contemplating her next move—a magazine article catches her attention. Blaring black letters read: "How to Get Your Sexy Back in Six Easy Steps."
Stevie studies the article in the trashy magazine like the good student she is and immediately knows what she has to do. With the magazine article in hand, and a bottle of red in her bag, Stevie embarks on a journey to reclaim her life and win back her ex.
Until she meets Gabe Shannon. Gorgeous, single, and on a quest of his own, Gabe introduces Stevie to a lifestyle that is sure to help get her sexy back and then some. If she doesn’t chicken out … (Oh, you know where this is going.)
What follows is a story of self-discovery, romantic gestures, erotic encounters, and following one's heart--even if it leads in unexpected directions.

*REVIEW*

I loved this fast moving, sexy story!  Stevie lives with her boyfriend Max who is perfect in almost every way.  He treats her like a princess, he is hot, he has a great job, knows all of her favorite things but there is one problem.  He can't give her the big O!  He's a dud when it comes to anything sexy.  He cringed when he saw her box of sex toys.  Stevie puts up with all of this because she figures he is the type that you settle down with.

After a shocking discovery, Stevie finds herself wanting to explore her sexy side.  She needs to get her sexy back and she has a plan.  How did she get into this rut anyway?  She takes control of her looks, her wardrobe and most importantly of her attitude.  This sends her right into the arms of Gabe Shannon.  Gabe is everything that Max isn't, mysterious, sex on 2 feet, domineering and confident.  Stevie follows his lead and has the time of her life.  She never knew she could enjoy life and sex like this.  She beams not only in the bedroom but at work as well!

In a strange twist of fate, Stevie is put into a room with Max and faced with a decision.  Does she want her security back?  Or does she want the exciting new life she created for herself?  Also, is Gabe who she thinks she is?

I loved Stevie and I loved how she worked through her problems.  She is strong with a little bit of self doubt.  The confidence she grew was so impressive!  The sexy scenes in this book were HOT!  Gabe is one that you shouldn't let go!  So glad I read this book, took me a day!  Pick it up if you want something different and sexy with little heartache!

Review: Blindfolded Innocence by Alessandra Torre

* SYNOPSIS*

"Brad De Luca is incorrigible. The premier divorce attorney in town, he is a forty-year old walking hunk of sex, bedding half the town, including his own clients. Brad is used to getting whatever, and whomever, he wants, and when the newest intern arrives - Julia Campbell, a pre-law student fresh off a failed engagement - he embraces the challenge. Only, happy in her new independence, the last thing Julia wants, or needs, is an older man who could destroy her job prospects, and possibly her innocence.

Julia is confident in her sexuality, and her effect on men. But she is far out of her league. Before she knows it, Brad is stretching her boundaries and opening up a forbidden world of sensual and sexual exploration."

Warning: This book contains explicit sex scenes, including a MFM ménage.

*REVIEW*

Blindfolded Innocence is the amazing,  Alessandra Torre's first book.  For some strange reason, I've never gotten to this one. (and no it had nothing to do with the scandalous first cover, LMAO, you know what I'm talking about...now we are on cover #3)  Dumb, I know.  It was fantastic as expected.  With the sequel coming out in a few short days, I thought it would be great to give you a rundown of book 1 and highly recommend that you get started on it so that you are ready for the release of Masked Innocence!
Blindfolded Innocence is a story about Julia, a 21 year old college student interning at a huge law firm.  Julia has hopes of becoming a fabulous attorney herself one day, so this internship is crucial in her networking and creating a good foundation.  Julia is a self proclaimed good girl, sometimes over analytical (good quality for a lawyer) and stubborn BUT sarcastic as hell and sharp!  She has beliefs on many issues, one being sex, that she's not willing to bend on.  She has to be in love, in a relationship and committed for it to happen.  She loves teasing men and leaving them begging for more!  Its the control she craves.
Julia is working for the firm and not even there for a hot second and people start warning her about one of the partners, womanizer, Brad De Luca.  What does she care, he's old, she won't fall prey to his charms.  It would be against everything she stands for.  Or will she?
"But this man was built like a god, with the disposition of Satan."
The long build up here did it for me.  I love sexual tension in a book *almost* more than the act itself!  Okay, maybe that's a stretch, but it does it for me.  They have a few chance encounters and they both keep wanting more.  Brad whisks Julia away on a trip that is beyond hot.  Chapter after chapter of teasing, begging and screaming orgasms (maybe a little f/f action!  wink, wink)!  I loved their trip and was proud of Julia for standing her ground once they got home.  She did not want to jeopardize her future or more importantly be another notch on this dude's bed post.
Well, things change and HOLY HELL was it hot!  I'll let you read to find out all the sweaty, yummy details yourself.  But Brad DeLuca is sexy and unexpected.  As usual Alessandra's books have twists, are original and have the most amazing sex scenes anywhere! The supporting characters are hilarious and honest, you will love them.  I can't wait to dive into Masked Innocence.  I will have a full blog tour, review and author interview for that book coming up next week.

Blog Tour and Review: Strip Me Bare by Marissa Carmel

* COVER *

*SYNOPSIS*

“I may have had more lovers than you, and I may take my clothes off for countless women, but you are the only one who can strip me bare.
Do you ever stop loving someone just because they’re gone? Five years ago Ryan Pierce disappeared from Alana Remington’s life without leaving so much as a post-it note behind. He was the one she gave her heart to, her soul to, and her virginity to.  So imagine her surprise when she finds him dancing at one of NYC’s hottest male revues as Jack the Stripper.
Ryan never stopped loving Alana, and now that she serendipitously dropped back into his life, he’s vowed never to lose her again.  But being together has its costs, and challenges Alana isn’t sure she can handle.

She finally has Ryan back; but how in the world is she supposed to share the love of her life with half of the women in New York City?

*REVIEW*

Strip Me Bare is a fantastic book!  There are so many things I loved about it.  First of all, I couldn't put it down.  The characters were well developed and likeable.  I loved the dose of fashion that we got in most scenes.  But most of all, I loved the story.  It started out good but kept building and building and was so satisfying.

"On the outside I was- still am, actually-the good girl, the polite girl, the girl who doesn't break any rules, but on the inside I'm restless."

Alana is a priveleged, smart and sassy girl who abruptly lost her first true love with no explanation.  In a hilarious twist of fate, their paths cross many years later and in the most random of places...a strip club.  Alana and Ryan have much to hash out and obstacles to cross.  So many things are in their way, socioeconomic status, family, Ryan's job, their issues of trust and bottled up emotion.  It was beautiful watching them break each one down and fight for what they wanted most, love.

And talk about fighting!  Alana is the biggest fighter of them all.  She was fantastic and strong in every way.  Keeping up appearances for her tough father got her to where she wanted to be and standing up to him when it mattered most gave me so much respect for her.  I loved her the best out of all the characters.

"Two people one in the same, both living a double life to get what they want; a future and each other."

They way things ultimately turned out for them made my heart happy.  I would love to see this story as a movie, I think it would be fantastic.  Especially with a bit of the "Magic Mike" aspect!  I'm definitely going to check out more books by Melissa Carmel!  There will also be a pre-quel for this book coming out soon, Stripped From You.

Blog Tour: The Scars of Us by Nikki Narvaez

The Scars of Us blog tour banner Synopsis
Kaiya Marlow has always been cautious, precise in every decision she makes. When her dark past threatens to resurface, she decides to take precautions to protect herself by enrolling in self-defense classes at her gym.
Her instructor, Ryker Campbell, is the tattooed womanizer everyone warns about. Kaiya deliberately avoids Ryker outside of their classes together, but the more time they spend training together, the harder it is for Kaiya to resist him.
Ryker's view on relationships is simple: strictly sex, nothing more. Haunted by demons from his past, he never allows himself to become attached to any woman. No attachment means no weakness, no vulnerability, no pain. He doesn't realize that his whole world is about to be turned upside down when the stunning Kaiya enters his self-defense class. Determined to have her, at least for one night, Ryker sets a plan into motion that will change both of their lives forever.
Will love be able to heal their scars, or will they be too deep to overcome?

REVIEW
You know how there are books that you get to the end and you think, "but I need more of them!" because you just aren't ready to move on? Yea, that's this one. Don't worry. Nikki has said that this will not be a standalone! There will be more.

I love a female who knows what she needs to do to change her way of life. Don't get me wrong, I really like the broken ones, but I love them when they take their future in to their own hands. So considering Kaiya meets Ryker because of enrolling in a self defense class, I already liked her. I was ok with her inability to fully trust because it meant that we would get to watch her grow as a person/character.

Then there is Ryker who is all hot and masculine, has a past of his own, but is so perfectly sweet. I really enjoy watching guys who appear to be tough show their sweet side. And Ryker definitely has one! He pushes Kaiya to her limits, but never lets her go there alone. I loved him!

And the sex... whew. The sex is HOT. You don't want to miss that, for sure!

So what are you waiting for? Get to reading!

Excerpt
“Why are you avoiding me?” Ryker angrily spat, closing the door to the sauna. His eyes ran over me as he crossed his arms over his broad chest. Clad only in a pair of gym shorts and no shirt, his skin gleamed with a sheen of sweet. He looked like he’d just finished working out. Fuck me.
“Are you really going to do this in here?” I snapped back as I clutched my towel to me.
His voice was gruff and matter of fact. “I have no other choice—you've missed class for almost three weeks now, and you won't answer my calls.”
“I've been busy,” I lied.
The truth was that I'd been sulking around my apartment trying not to think of Ryker, which was almost impossible. He dominated every thought, much like his presence did in real life.
Eyes narrowing in determination, he advanced toward me, causing me to back up into the tile wall. Surprisingly, I wasn't scared—Ryker never caused that kind of fear in me. What he made me feel was more of an exhilarating kind of the fear, the kind you get when you're about to do something like bungee jump or skydive, the kind that excites your soul.
Caging me between his arms, my already fevered skin heated more from his proximity as he pressed against me with his body. I hadn't realized just how much I missed his touch until his skin reunited with mine, making me feel as though a piece of me had been lost since we'd last been together.
Ryker's eyes met mine, and there was no denying the desire and longing in them. “Always fighting me, Warrior,” he softly spoke as he caressed my cheek with the back of his knuckles. Leaning in, he grazed my neck with his lips. The combination of heat from the steam and his mouth began to blanket me in a heady fog, evaporating all thought and replacing it with lust.
“I've missed you,” Ryker murmured against my skin before tracing the curve of my jaw with his tongue. My breath escaped in a low moan as he pulled my body closer to him, leaving no space between us while he continued to taste me.
My hands tangled in his hair, leaving my loose towel barely clinging to my sweaty skin. When he brought his lips to mine, I let go of everything, losing myself in him and how he made me feel.
He groaned in my mouth as our tongues met, tangling together seamlessly as he lifted me. My legs automatically wrapped around him as he pressed me up against the wall, his hardened erection pushing against my already heated core.
Ryker nipped at my lips as he ripped the towel from my body, tossing it to the floor as his callused hands reacquainted themselves with my skin. God, I missed him. I don't think I'll ever be the same without his touch. Finding my breasts, Ryker's talented fingers massaged my stiff nipples before his mouth claimed them. The blissful combination of his soft, wet mouth and hard, smooth tongue ring against my sensitive flesh caused a moan to escape from my throat.
Leaning my head back against the wall, I let Ryker consume me. He eagerly suckled my breasts, pulling each nipple with his teeth before caressing it with that amazing piercing again. I love how he makes me feel—so alive … almost whole.
“Ryker,” I breathlessly moaned as I reached for his shorts. Slipping my hand inside, I found his cock and pulled it out, needing him to fill me.
He didn't hesitate—he never did. Gripping my hips, he thrust himself inside my slick sex as his mouth reclaimed mine. Sweat beaded on our skin as he roughly pummeled me against the tile, taking me closer to heaven with each stroke.
Ryker's thick shaft stretched my walls, the pleasurable pain spreading throughout every inch of my limbs. I reveled in how he made me forget everything else, immersing me in us and the beauty of how our bodies perfectly connected. He unraveled and completed me all at the same time.
“Fuck, I missed you, baby, missed the taste of your sweet skin,” Ryker groaned against my lips.
I love it when he talks to me like that.
I forced him deeper inside me with my legs, tightening my hold around his hips. He growled his approval, increasing the pace and intensity of his thrusts as his cock blissfully ravaged me.
Ryker's lips left mine as he nuzzled his face into my neck and placed soft kisses along my skin. “I haven't been able to get you off my mind. I've been going crazy thinking about you, baby.”
“Me too. I've missed you so much,” I whimpered as I guided his mouth back to mine.
His strength amazed me, unwavering as he supported my weight while simultaneously using his body to fuck me senseless. Ryker continuously pumped into me, creating a sensual rhythm just for us as our bodies molded together in harmony.
Ryker pulled back and grasped my face in his inked hands. “Never again, Warrior.” His voice was gruff and deep, laced with emotion. “Can't go through that again.”
“Never, baby, never,” I whispered.
His mouth crashed on mine again. Every press of Ryker's lips, every caress from his hands, and every stroke of his amazing cock pushed me closer to ecstasy. My body ached for it, needing release after craving Ryker for so long.
As if sensing how close I was, Ryker pounded harder into me, creating the perfect combination of pain and pleasure within my body. My nails raked across his back as I cried out in euphoria, my climax sending tremors of sensation throughout my limbs. My thighs trembled against his hips as his strokes intensified in both speed and strength, seeking his own release. Seconds later, he withdrew his throbbing cock from my sex before shooting his cum up between my breasts.
The sticky heat of the room was stifling, making it more difficult to breathe as we disentangled ourselves. Picking up my towel, Ryker gently wiped his release from my skin, snapping me out the sensual fog we’d created. Immediately, I felt self-conscious, causing panic to root within me. Anxiety began to tighten in my body, trying to seize every muscle in its grasp as it attempted to take hold.
Ryker's hand cupped my cheek. “What's wrong?”
My eyes snapped to his, trying to focus on him to pull myself out of my downward spiral. My chest heaved as it struggled to breathe, causing Ryker's eyes to crease in worry. “Breathe, baby, breathe. It's okay, everything is okay.”
Breathe. In, out, in, out. The pressure began to relinquish as I concentrated on Ryker's face. Both of his hands clasped my face. “You with me, baby?”
I gave him a tight nod. My chest was still somewhat constricted, and my muscles were stiff, but the tension was slowly easing away. “I'm sorry—I have to go,” I stammered as I snatched the towel from Ryker's hand. I darted around him toward the exit while trying to wrap the cloth around me.
“You don't have to run from me, Warrior,” he called out after me. Ryker’s words stopped me, only a few feet from the door. I felt him behind me as his arms wrapped around my waist, pulling my body against his. Pressing a soft kiss to my shoulder, he murmured, “Talk to me, baby.”
My mouth dried up, the words stuck in my throat. I blinked rapidly, willing back tears. Ryker slowly turned me to face him and pressed our foreheads together as he released a breath.
“I know you've been hurt before, experienced things that no one should ever have to. Just know that I'd never do that to you. Ever. I know you're probably not ready to talk about it yet, but when you are, I'll be here.”
And with those words, Ryker smashed a small hole in the barrier surrounding the broken pieces of my heart.

Blog Tour and Review: Misbehaving by Tiffany Reisz

* COVER *

* SYNOPSIS *

Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try anything…

As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister’s wedding isn’t as rough as it sounds. There’s just one hitch: Bea’s assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn’t have a plus one to play with.

The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag--and he's as temptingly gorgeous as ever.

The bad news: Ben turned down Bea’s offer of graduation night sex five years ago.

The best news: He’s not planning on making the same mistake twice.

* REVIEW *

I had so much fun reading Misbehaving!  Bea writes a column where she reviews sex toys, manuals and novels.  She is given an assignment the week of her sister's wedding and wastes no time in finding her subject and getting started!  Bea is a confident, sexy and outspoken woman who isn't afraid to tell the world that!  I loved her unapologetic approach to everything sex and sensuality.  I was wondering, hmmm, how can I bump up my position as novel review to sex toy reviewer??  HA!

Once Bea get's her assignment for the week, which is to "review a book called, THE MANUAL", she leaves for her sister's wedding and almost immediately bumps into her first love.  They have plenty of unfinished business, find out some insight as to why they never had any closure and make an agreement.

I loved the fast pace of this book.  It was engaging and flowed quickly but I didn't feel that anything was left out.  It had just the right amount of sexy and funny!  A little bit of trouble is thrown in there just to keep you guessing.  The characters were likeable and hilarious.  If you are looking for a sexy, quick read, Misbehaving is for you.  Great storyline with a strong leading lady!

WOW. So confession time: I'm a total airhead at times and didn't realize when I started that this was a companion to Beth Michele's first novel Love Love. That being said, it can absolutely be read as a standalone. There were a few references to Love Love, but it was touched on enough that I figured it out without any actual confusion. So on to my review...

Phenomenal. One thing I'm finding out about Beth Michele is that despite an instant connection, she is able to make it a nice, slow progression. Nothing is rushed, but it isn't ridiculously drawn out either. The chemistry between Matt & Fran was excellent. I loved the independence they both had as well as their need for companionship. Matt is totally swoonworthy! He is all kinds of broody, but he is so caring and so concerned with Fran that you can't help but love him. Then Beth Michele shared a pic of her inspiration of him on her page and he is BEAUTIFUL. I'd totally take a Matt in my life. Fran was also phenomenal. She's overcome a lot of grief in her life and come out ahead. While her scars are evident - physically and emotionally - she exudes a strength beyond belief. She is fiercely independent, but also has finally recognized the importance of letting someone in to her life and sharing her grief.

I cannot say enough good things about this story! Do not wait to read it. Get it right now! The story is beautiful, the writing is amazing, and you will be captivated from the moment you start!

I am a wife, a mom, an author, and a lover of all things chocolate, well, anything sweet really. While stuffing chocolate in my face, I enjoy reading young adult and new adult novels furiously, and spending time with my husband and two adorable children who keep me on my peppermint pink painted toes. Those same children who inspire me to tell silly stories that cause hysterical giggles to tumble from their bellies. I love to laugh and love to have a good cry, especially after reading a novel that stretches my soul, one that makes me feel, and lingers in the corner of my heart. I’m a hopeless romantic and a happily ever after fanatic, and I love to write about LOVE. I began writing when I was in middle school, penning anything from short stories, to poetry, and then later moved on to write children’s books. I have now endeavored into New Adult and Contemporary Romance novels and am loving every minute of it. My first novel, Love Love, was released in May, 2013.

Blog Tour: Review, Dream Cast, Giveaway: Accept Me by J.L. Mac

For the first time in her life, 25-year-old Josephine Geroux has a future worth looking forward to. She has her beloved bookstore, she has all the comforts that money can buy, she has found the love of her life, and most importantly, she has found hope where there was none for 16 long years.

After the tragic deaths of her parents and her troubled life as an orphan, she met Damon Cole, a man who has everything to do with it all. He’s part of the reason for her wrecked life, but he’s also the reason that her heart has been restored. He’s her future and the exact reason that she’s so willing to fight the demons from his past that threaten the very future that she so desperately seeks.

In the final book of the Wrecked series, Jo is confronted with a turbulent history that has her negotiating the twists and turns that end up being far more difficult to handle than she ever could have anticipated. Jo’s relationship with enigmatic Damon is delicate at best, especially after she inadvertently discovers details about his life that may have been better left buried.

Since Damon’s dark past has remained hidden for so long, Jo’s investigation puts her dangerously close to jeopardizing her already fragile relationship with the man she loves.

Jo has a promising future at her fingertips; she must decide if revealing the truth to Damon is a gamble she’s willing to take. With so much at stake, acceptance proves to be Jo’s greatest battle to date.

Well, J.L. Mac does it again. I was so excited to start this conclusion of a story! J.L. Mac has yet to disappoint me, especially with Jo & Damon’s story, so I had high expectations. And she lived up to every one of them!
Right from the beginning, my attention was captured. This wasn’t all puppy dogs and rainbows. There were moments when I wanted to run my Kindle over with my minivan, back up over it, and run it over again. There were plot twists and plot turns that I didn’t expect. If you’re wanting sunshine and a warm breeze, well… you won’t find it in this story. If you are looking for a captivating story that totally engrosses you, then this is it. Jo & Damon have grown so much since we originally met them, that is for sure. Right when you think that a series can’t get better, this comes out.
The characters were so strong and stayed true to themselves. Watching their relationship grow and change was no less interesting in this story than it has been in the previous books!

I cannot wait to read more from J.L. Mac! Keep up the good work!
