Luke Anderson has

Well that was unexpected! Rockstar +
Single Mom + Rekindled Romance always = fabulous! This was a story that I haven’t
read teasers for or read anything more than the synopsis, so I wasn’t quite
sure if I’d like the author’s style of writing or if the story would feel like
a repeat of others that I have read. Luckily, it was unique and the style of
writing was perfect.
Immediately I was intrigued by Marlene
and her situation. Single moms are a whole different ballgame than what I’m
used to. Marlene had a support system, but was still very much on her own. Her
family dynamic was a little confusing at times – I couldn’t quite figure out
the relationship she had with her parents – but that did not take away from the
story at all. Luke’s family was cut and dry and there was no confusion.
Watching Luke come back and prove that he
was ready for his family was very sweet. He wasn’t about to back down and let
some other guy win. At the same time, it was interesting to read how Marlene
battled with herself about going after the love of her life or her lifelong
dream. Sometimes going after love is too big of a risk, but usually it pays
off! Luckily for Marlene, Luke understood and supported her dreams and
encouraged them.
This story was sweet and romantic and
quite a bit angsty! If you are looking for a good summer read for this 4th
of July weekend, this is one you’ll definitely want to check out!
