Haley Martin decides the only way to let go of her lingering nightmares is to literally move on. Taking a leap of faith she finds herself enrolling at a campus hundreds of miles away from home.
She leaves any thoughts of dating again in Jersey, that is until fate crosses her path with
a blue-eyed stud named Kyler King. He is notoriously known for being emotionally unattainable, but his façade is only to hide the burdens he bares every day.
As Kyler and Haley’s physical attraction becomes deeper, the secrets of the past threaten to surface. When Haley’s past collides with the present, will her secrets prove too big of an obstacle hindering their happily ever after, or will letting go be the key that locks their bond forever?
Which of your characters would you like to meet in person and why?
I would like to meet all of them. They each have certain characteristics of my own
personality in them. I would love to spend the day with Haley sharing stories then spend
time with Kyler. He is masculine yet as genuine as possible. Now Jude is the boy next door with a wild side. Who wouldn’t want to spend time with him?
Why did you feel you had to tell this story?
I knew it was important to share Haley’s story of triumph. There are so many people in
this world who have their own stories. Hell, even I do. I think it is important to use your
voice and speak up. I choose to spread the word of things that are important to me through my book. If one young adult reads this and he/she realizes they are not alone, and that sorrow, grief and pain are all real, but it will pass in in time. If they read this and seek help, or friendship or whatever it is they need to get through “their” rough patch, then that will make me feel more successful than any amount of books I sell. That is my goal, to touch people. If my story does that, my job was done correctly.
