BLOG TOUR: Review & Giveaway: Everything Changes by Shey Stahl

 I knew a boy once.
He was a boy that changed everything.
I didn't know Parker O’Neil outside of the occasional smile and wink. The AMA Supercross racer came to our small town one winter, and I had no idea what he was capable of. How could I have known that he would change my life forever that summer? Eventually, the occasional smile became a smile I grew to love and longed to see. The occasional wink became a gesture that made my soul sway and my heartache. In the canyons of the desert, he showed me his lifestyle and his love.
What I didn't see was the control he had over me. It was a power the glitz and glamour of his professional lifestyle had and eventually what tore apart any life I thought I knew. In his world of banging bars and soaring jumps, there was no room for someone like me. But for five years, every time he called or touched me, everything changed again. It was a touch that could heal anything and a smile that could light even the darkest nights.

Review
Ah – what a great coming-of-age story. Parker & Rowan were quite the couple – they went from being awkward with each other to a passion that simply couldn’t be denied. There was more times than I can count that I wanted to shake them and tell them to just open their eyes to what was going on. Then I remembered being that age and how it was so easy to get caught up in the moment and forget what was important. How there were many times that what I had right then was good enough and having a conversation that would potentially change everything just wasn’t impoartant enough.
Rowan. Love her. I felt like I could identify with her so often! Her inner battle of wanting to be with Parker, but also wanting to be independent is something a lot of young girls struggle with. She had a heart of gold, but could be SO. FREAKIN. STUPID. sometimes. Her ‘relationship’ with Sean often confused me, but I think that is because she was so confused. Thank goodness she had some people around her to knock her upside her head sometimes…
Parker. Swoon. In my mind he was so cute and so sweet and SO DUMB. Really, he could have solved so many of his issues if he would have just talked to Rowan! But I understood why he handled things the way he did. I got it. He had a crap life handed to him, but he overcame it. I loved his family and how they supported him. I think that, despite his dumb moments, he was an amazing guy. He loved passionately, even if he couldn’t always express it, you could feel it.
I really enjoyed this story! If you are a fan of young love & coming of age, you will definitely enjoy this one! The writing flows beautifully and the characters are definitely ones most can identify with.
