Four years later, Bryn returns to Savannah to live in her childhood home. Slowly, she begins to let the people of her past back into her life. She lets the protective walls she's built to protect herself crash down around her. As she begins to find love again with Tyler, secrets start to unravel themselves about his past. Tyler has secrets of his own. Secrets connected to the death of Bryn's father. Secrets Tyler didn't even know he kept.
So right off the bat, I was drawn in to this story. This was definitely a slow moving story, but still very interesting! Instantly I knew that there was something fishy about the way Charlotte and Tyler had to leave town so abruptly and then Bryn’s father died shortly after. I was sucked in right away so I could find out what the connection was.
Bryn definitely had some serious issues she needed to work through. But she gets there. I can’t imagine experiencing the loss of her only parent without any of her normal supports. I was glad that she was able to have Olivia for support prior to moving back home.
Overall, this story is a slow paced, very interesting love story. They had a lot to overcome to succeed as a couple!
