* REVIEW *

I love when a story just cuts to the chase and gets into some steamy, hot sex right away! Let's face it, that's why we read this genre for, right? ;) So, Mel is on a week long getaway with her BFF for a break from her stressful life. We know it's bad, but don't know exactly why. I love how the author kept us guessing on that for a bit.  It was nice to not be consumed by her issues and just enjoy her time away.

Mel takes the plunge and has some sexy encounters with Derek, a gorgeous man she meets at the resort. Things get hot and heavy but secrets are not revealed and hearts are broken. Once Mel arrives home, shit hits the fan in her personal life.  I can't say too much except that I was shocked.  There was so much depth to her issues and they just kept unraveling.

Suddenly we went from love story to mystery!  The "twist" was so smart. I loved the way this story was told, almost backwards compared to most books. I enjoyed trying to guess what Mel was hiding about her life back at home. I liked that she wasn't afraid to take some risks early on and I loved the ending. It was refreshing to read a Stand alone novel as well. Considering this is Tia Louise's debut novel, I think it was fantastic. I will surely be looking for more from her in the future.
